  1. These tools I use very often when fixing the peoples laptops which come in very often caked with spyware.. Ad-Aware Hijackthis Rougue Remover Spybot SD
  2. I think frequency in processors does not really matter as much as it did before. AMD's always had lower frequencies but in some cases were faster. I think its the architecture of the chip and how its utilized with todays software which determines the speed.
  3. like I said, It would be interesting to see that working. And Windows 98 is old, I think it is anyway.. You disagree and that's a fair point from you..

    Is there a switch you can use when you run the setup.exe file. I think there might be a recovery mode setup or something... I'm sure i had a similar problem once..
  5. I can't believe that would be possible. The technology is very old, I know retro stuff is great and I'm one to go along with that but the new stuff is better when you really sit down and think about it. I would love to see it working though, would be interesting..
  6. Maybe the school had whats called a schools agreement with those licences.. In the UK I think that means that the OS Can be installed on users home pc's. But I reckon only if they actually work for the school...
  7. I always create a group policy in AD that has a batch file in the start up section of the GPO. That batch file has the information to delete reg keys add reg keys etc.. And it runs before any user logs in.. It runs while the CTRL ALT DELETE screen is loading. I think that's what you want to do..
  8. I'm trying to make a profile for Outlook so that every user in my organisation who logs onto any workstation, can pick up their emails using outlook 2003 without having to set it up everytime. I have managed to figure out how to do a Custom installation etc, and create a prf file. But even though I set the PST location to the folder where the users existing Outlook.pst is located.. but when I start outlook it says that it is unable to open the default folders and asks for the location... But the path is there!!! so why can't it find outlook.pst... I have googled my problem for hours and hours but most solutions seem to related to Exchange profiles... but i want to set up an Internet Mail prf file with a location to the users PST file that they already have. Here is my prf file... im sure i did this correctly.... but obviously i didn't or it would be working.. ; ************************************************************** ; Section 1 - Profile Defaults ;
