  1. Its probably ATA/66 or ATA/100.
  2. Thats strange, I have a Maxtor ATA 133 HD running at ATA100 with no problems.
  3. I would not recommend anything from Western Digital, I have had 3 drives go bad from them (800mb, 2gb, and a 4gb), they of course stopped working only a few months after the warranty expired. I stay clear of them and buy only Maxtor/Seagate. The only one that I have that still works is the 10GB model.
  4. The iPod has a Toshiba PCMCIA harddrive (The MK5002MAL) which is at 4200RPM. Some places sell this harddrive for almost the same price of the iPod here is an example of the cost.
  5. Didnt know it was filmed in Vancouver, I watched it a few times when it was on Global Chan 11 on Fridays.
  6. I use one of those when maintaining 4 servers in a very small server room (cant fit a chair into it, makes me claustrophobic), its really good if don’t need to use all your comps at the same time, or if they are close together.
  7. C:\WINDOWS\system32\oobe\images\title.wma
  8. First you download the backend.php mod for invision board made by me Then you set up your Klip using something like the MSFN Klip and change it to your needs. You need to set which forum you are using for the news in backend.php and it should work.
  9. Good thing I installed Linux on my server

    Memory Type...

I have Xerox 512Mb 16x(32x8) PC2100-2533-750 (cl 2.5 up to 133Mhz) (cl2 up to 100Mhz) Why does the label say Samsung on the ram? I never heard of Xerox selling ram.
  12. You would be lucky to get any server running stable on Windows 9x. The reason Win2k is needed is because of stability, memory managment, and security. I know some components of IIS wont even install if you don't have NTFS. The only things you can run on Windows 98 is PWS. However, you can install MySQL and Apache on it just for website development.
  13. Well its good for 0.1. Would be better if you did not use VB since I had to download runtimes, Delphi or C++ should be great for the program you are making, since VB programs are known to get very slow as they get more features.
  14. Happy Birthday! Have a nice one
  15. Well I hope they find hosting without ads, the ads made the site look very cheap.
  16. Thats probably because of the switch from Linux to Windows 2000, since Windows does not have a command line mail system.
  17. Nice choice I'm stuck with the 400Mhz FSB
  18. Its very simple, most distro do this for you automatically, in fact I even have a distro from 1999 that automatically detects Windows XP (as NT) installed and sets it up on the boot loader.
  19. Actually the 533mhz model is 1 dollar cheaper INTEL PENTIUM 4 2.4GHZ Socket-478 533FSB CPU $329 INTEL PENTIUM 4 2.4GHz mPGA-478 400FSB CPU $329 source: here Its the same price here, in CAD
  20. MSNwar, the cost in Canada (converted to USD) Retail 2.4GHz 512K 533MHz $200.43 Gigabyte GA-8IEXP i845E FSB533 MOTHERBOARD $131.31 PC800 RDRAM 256MB $93.61 Total: $425.35 USD why is it so expensive there?
  21. Here is what I use to configure php(this is in no way standard, but it works ) First make sure to delete the old directory: rm -rf /wwroot/php or wherever it is ./configure --prefix=/wwwroot/php --with-config-file-path=/wwwroot/php --with-apxs=/wwwroot/bin/apxs --with-xml --enable-bcmath --enable-calender --enable-ftp --with-gd --enable-magic-quotes --with-mysql --with-pear --enable-track-vars --with-ttf --with-zlib --with-mod_charset --with-iconv --enable-trans-sid --enable-sockets Of course you may need to change some paths, install libs, etc. Btw, if you use Debian I would sugest you install it this way: apt-get install apache apt-get install php4 apt-get install mysql apt-get install php4-mysql You can see other modules here
  22. Its best to buy the 133, since then you have a 533 FSB instead of 400, and it costs about the same. If you want overclocking, the ones with the lower multiplyer will get you the best FSB speeds.
  23. All of it should be compatible if it comes with a drivers disk/cd.
  24. It would be almost equal to the one in your sig, with the exception of better memory bandwidth and a better video card.
  25. The 40x is: LiteOn 40x12x48x (Boxed) $85 CDN
