  1. I am using this in my Unattended install, i have tried to install using XPInstall and also from runonceex but i just get the request for language. i even added /s /n /LANG=ENG and tested the script in windows itself and it works silently, but when i run the unattended install it keeps asking for the **** language and wont install silently... any help please... ??
  2. I don't wish to be argumentative but it does integrate IE6, Messenger, Directx and Media player, also hotfixes and SPacks. Of course you can ask it to create a single OS cd but i never had a failure of any multiboot cd i created with it, although i usually only do 2 per cd ie OEM Home/Pro and Retail Home/Pro XP and Win2k Oem/Retail i also integrate $oem$ programs, drivers and codecs i use the results everyday to repair and build new computers. Most including myself prefer doing it manually but i have found this to work very well for basic slipstream/integration but i have had great success in conjunction with other manual means too. B) You can only try it, if you don't like it, dont use it... same goes for all forum available software, guides etc...
  3. try this, i use it to create multiboot cd's too http://berns.cae.wisc.edu/pages/wincdman.asp
  4. Mine came from a few different sources, when i was still in primary school in england i was very pale skinned and got the nickname "Ghost" as i got older i rode bikes and my favourite colour of bike was a silver grey/black, i got into CB radio and loved the Meatloaf album Bat out of Hell and there was a line in that about ghostriders etc etc... the rest is history, (about 27yrs) i used the handle on CB and kept it ever since
  5. Searched and found the error, just copied the sys files to the root of each install and now it works.. I'll burn a new copy tomorrow and as i install on all sorts of different computers it will get a good test, thanks again for all the hard work..
  6. I want to add to this... i created the slipstreamed Cd including all driverpacks using method 2. I then used the Windows CD management script by Bryan Burns to create a 2 in 1 cd of home and pro OEM and Retail versions but when i run the setup in Virtual PC i get an error "aec6280.sys cannot be found" and the install quits, i changed the sequence of when the driverpack was applied to the install folder but i get the same error each time... i haven't had time to investigate further but i thought i would report my findings in lieu of the previous bug report. P.S i just updated to V10 and ran the new scripts, now, at step 3 i get cannot find M2_Patch_v002.cmd when it should be looking for v003.cmd..??? the cmd script is set to look for the current version, so why is it trying to find v002.. ?? P.P.S Sorry, found the error in run me 3.cmd "SET V=V002" should read "SET V=V003"
  7. Sorry about that delay, this is from the created ISO, i already expanded it.. I noticed that the RVMUpPck.inf entry is in there under hotfixupdates..just to give some further info, i just used Nuhi's tool to slipstream and add your pack, then i used the windows management program tocreate the multiboot cd, again no additions in it either just select O/S's and create.! sysoc.inf
  8. i tried with disable enabled and disabled.... same result... :-(
  9. That's a bug with nLite 0.99.1, not my pack. There's posts in the nLite forum about it. Thanks Ryan, i found that... it appears though that there are 2 problems... the framedyn.dll and the non install of the hotfixes, i assume that the install takes place at T12, i can see a cmd windows flash open and close but too fast to see updates. The error maybe introduced by changes made by Brians Windows Management process and not Nuhi's slipstream process, all the srvpack files are in the i386 subfolder and the entries are in the txtsetup.sif and dosnet.inf files but the hotfixes don't get installed... any ideas..?
  10. I have a little problem.... i tried using the pack in conjunction with nuhis tools then i used Brian Berns tool (http://berns.cae.wisc.edu/pages/wincd.asp) for creating a multiboot XP install as i create XP Corp, OEM and retail CD's with OEM installs (2 os's on each cd) also using XPinstall from Wraith. All seemed to go well but i get a framedyn.dll error on startup of the OS for the 1st time and non of the hotfixes are updated, i have to download them again, is there a way i can make Ryans pack work with the other method of creating a CD??? BTW, i use the CMD version 104 not the windows version 2 of Brian Berns tool
  11. i came across this article and wondered if anyone had comments to make on it's validity. I understand what it's saying and it would seem that anyone who does not connect to the internet via a router/firewall and gets an IP directly on connection, ie DSL, cable or dialup modem could be opening their shared folders to the world despite the SP2 firewall being enabled. The only sure way to secure the network shares is to edit printer and file sharing to settings other than subnet..!!! http://www.pcwelt.de/know-how/extras/103039/
  12. I'm quoting myself from earlier, i still haven't fixed this problem, however, my XP Pro installs are fine, the XP Home installs give the error, does it make any difference if the WINNTBBU file used is from Home or Pro, are they interchangeable, if not that maybe my problem although i can't find a difference myself... :/
  13. Actually the text i was having trouble with was the rolling text, the Neo - Archtect conversation.. the side text is fine.. confusing me why it worked then stopped.
  14. I recently downloaded and utilised Ogre's WINNTBBU files and they worked fine until i had to do a update of my XP ISO by adding the amended Cumlative patch and a few tweaks using XPinstall, now whenever the Matrix theme loads in the background all i get instead of the text is the Hex header 3g 3f etc etc, anyone come across this before or knows what would cause it, it only seems to affect the system i use at work to build Images, my home image is fine..???? P.S i just thought, i also renamed the original winntbbu.* files to winntbbuold.* i will remove them from the iso when i get back into work and see if that has any effect.
  15. I recently managed to download and test Ogre's WINNTBBU files and had a running setup using just the cab file version on a slipstreamed XP Pro and home CD, i recently updated the OEM install files and since then whenever i start an install all I get in place of the text per line is the hex id 3g 1f 3e etc instead of displaying the text... anyone know what would cause this, i replaced the files directly into the iso image and still it gives the same problem, windows loads pperfectly BTW...
