hey jarthel sure np hive: open regedit goto local machine go to file > hive [ the same unhive ] select software [in ...system32\config dir] owner: right click u will c perm... choose that then click advance owner tab choose administrators and mark replace owner.... [apply it] then back to permission tab and add u full control just notice u must unhive it and then save the wim "owner's dir" just open the packages dirs u will see them in sub-dir GL

@ PARTYBOY-XP i was talking to WiCiO if u want that option u need to add -extreme parameter to vlite.exe line

what error u got ? the same as always ? @WiCiO threre's no way to remove winsxs and install dmn thing ;/ winsxs is shutdown all the add feathers or updates hope nuhi will make a safe winsxs removal next vlite i didn't use vlite at all ;] try rebulid the image without remove any comps

As Arneh says ", gave an option during setup to select which bits to install and not to install", you should include the time you spent to make the nLited CD. u could find setting for nlite that is universal and fit to any pc and save alots of time like: unattained, sfc disabled remove comps [ like windows massager] without give a day for that, half hour and u save lots of time

hey WiCiO i tested it if u gonna use vlite to remove winsxs u wont gain any diff [ hdd space ] so save ur time but if u dont wanna do it i will tell u however its not alot around 100-350mb

what about the winpe.wim files? its needed ? its could save much more space if we could drop them from the iso

use waik to preinstall the aero and then u could remove any comps u want i did and no error all works fine
