  1. my son deleted Admin.Acco.

so he had admin rights to do that ?

I guess that is a good point - why did your son have admin rights? Always restrict your children mercilessly.

Disclaimer: My parents give me an admin account. But then again, I'm not stupid, and I'm the only one who can fix it when things go wrong, so I need it. :D

As for the problem, maybe you could use a BartPE disk with the password utility added and create a new admin account?

  2. Well, that depends on how you interpret it. Any way, it's against forum rules to link to that sort of thing. But MS probably wouldn't care if you downloaded an iso with windows as long as you have a valid COA. Again, I'm not sure though.

  3. You could try contacting Microsoftt about it, but good luck - they probably won't help you. The only other place to download it would be from a warez site, and that would be illegal, so I wouldn't recommend it. Try asking friends if they have a disk you can borrow, or see if there's one at your work you could use. That's what I'd recommend.

  4. I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to say. Did your account, a member of the administrators group, get deleted, or did THE administrator account get deleted? I think the built-in one can't be deleted. Your data might be gone. You may still be able to log on as THE administrator. If it's XP home, boot into safe mode and use the admin account. If it's pro, just press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice at the logon screen and enter Administrator as the username.

  5. I like to play with people's brains and out in a customized gina with certain things changed, for example, instead of "Please wait..." while logging on or off or shutting down it would say "Hold on!! Be patient...", and instead of "Are you sure you want to log off" it would say "Don't leave me!" with buttons saying "Too bad." and "OK, I'll stay" and instead of "Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to log on", "What, don't you know what to press? No? Too bad." and things like that. Lots of fun, and drives people crazy.

  6. Mouse sometimes, but I really like my laptop's touchpad, as long as it's not for long periods of use. Also, sometimes a tablet pc, in which case I use a stylus of course.

  7. Yeah, I guess Microsoft wouldn't give them free copies of their software just because they used their resort names as codenames. Funny that you looked. :P I'll admit :blushing: - I've gone up to one of those vitamin info kiosks at Safeway or something and presed Ctrl+Alt+Del to see the windows security screen to see what version of windows they're running. Windows XP, in case you were wondering.
