  1. Nice addon. Very fast imaging, was using ghost...not anymore.
  2. Thanks a lot for your kind appreciation.[rant] I've noticed you're a fan of Babylon 5 [as am I]... I'm sure you remember G'kar's famous speech from "Survivors" [season 1 episode 11]: "The universe is driven by the complex interaction between three ingredients: matter, energy, and enlightened self-interest." Quoted from this page. Mr. Katsulas was brilliant in that role, I can't imagine G'kar being played by any1 else. [/rant] Best wishes, MDGx Diehard B5 fan. The continual barrage of moral dilemmas in the series actually helped guide me through my own. The quote you mentioned, "The universe is driven by the complex interaction between three ingredients: matter, energy, and enlightened self-interest.", is a sort of absolute truth that is almost undeniable. Andreas Katsulas was born for the role and died in it. I personally believe G'Kar was in fact Andreas, hidden only by the makeup. It did take a while for them to move him out of his early role as an antagonist to protagonist, his real personality, as the series progressed. It really was a tragic series with both Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar) and Richard Biggs (Dr Steven Franklin) dying shortly after and both were said to be "exploring the rim" as their final epitaph. I continue to watch the series and the movies along with the 1 season spinoff Crusade. Cheers and thanks for the quote link!
  3. This thread has a program called CMENU which will help you find the silent switches for use with nLite Addon Maker. I have used /? and /h behind the filename in question to locate silent switches as well (from Start/Run). It's a lot of trial and error. I only mess with Freeware. http://www.msfn.org/board/cmenu-t47645.html
  4. Can you describe the process you used to try making these addons?
  5. Thanks Maximus-Decim for the continued updates and MDGx for continued hosting of the files. A+++
  6. Real Alternative Lite 2.01 http://rapidshare.com/files/290933145/Real...te_201.cab.html
  7. http://rapidshare.com/files/290002340/ABUR...IO6760.cab.html After some usage I've found that this is a pretty decent freeware program that burns (and or creates) DVD video files, image files and data backups in a fairly small package.
  8. You don't ever need to apologize. Hope your job and personal life are doing well and thank you for taking the time to continue your project.
  9. NUSB never installs automatically for me either. After installing Mdcu305e I have to go to the device tree and right click on the "? xxx enhanced usb controller" and update the driver manually even though it is present in the system.
  10. Hello erp!I'm back from the [almost] dead, and I mean that literally. I'm finally able to catch up on e-mail, forums, etc. and noticed this recent thread, so I assume you and others are well. [i've been out of the hospital for 6 weeks now, so it appears I'll live.] Can you give me the short version: What is the reasonable consensus on what is the most effective SP-related procedure to follow today? Are we using SP2.1a, or is there something stable newer? Is something *almost* stable awaiting something with an end in sight? Is there a work-around to make useful something beyond SP2.1a? What? cjl [enquiring near-death-experience survivors want to know] I use all of Maximum-Decim's packages (Mdcu305e, MDDACU15E and MDIE6CU26E) for the basic upgrades, he seems to be continually updating them from time to time.
  11. You didn't give us much information to work with. What were you trying to make an addon out of? What silent switches did you use?
  12. RP9 (full) working nice, system seems very stable. the desktop icon transparency is a nice touch. Thanks and nice work Tihiy.
  13. Never had that happen. Your system may be adding some hardware post-install that is causing the reboot.
  14. Works for me. You would load it with all your updates and addons when creating an nLite install. The only difference is it doesn't get integrated like normal Windows updates, it installs at T-13 when all your program addons are installed. Never had a Kabul incident since. You can see it in Add/Remove Programs (Show updates) when installation is finished. Just remember to leave out both the earlier time zone updates from your installation.
  15. sorry, i don't know of any way to fix this. you can do a "kabul" search on this site to see if anyone has figured it out. making an addon out of the update was the only way i could get it to work.
  16. If you are using IE5, 5.5 or 6 (you didn't specify), try Firefox or Opera and see if the problem goes away.
  17. Thanks again for your update packages and your continued support of Win98/SE.
  18. ^ I ran the file past virustotal.com and only 3/40 engines called it a hit. I submitted the file to Avira. I'll contact 48bitlba.com about it. http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/cf5b9d9...9039af84a49279c
  19. ^Thanks, looks like good info. PS: In post #3 the link "artfully dodges" http://48bitlba.com/faq.htm#FAQ10 Antivir detected this Malware (I'm using my WinXP box): Virus or unwanted program 'HTML/Infected.WebPage.Gen [virus]' detected in file 'C:\Documents and Settings\gkar\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\w2b92bsg.default\Cache\53EFBBCBd01. Action performed: Move file to quarantine
  20. I've been looking at getting an USB external drive but some list no operating system compatibility and others say winxp/vista. Would it be best to buy a bare enclosure and a hdd and just use NUSB? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  21. Yep that's much easier! Yeeha!
  22. Any chance of getting Cinema Craft Encoder Basic to work using KernelEX?
  23. Thanks for keeping the project alive!
