  1. WOW!!! The EU is finally good for something!!! Hehehehehehehe.....
  2. 39 tabs???? Does your monitor bulge at the sides??? Sheeesh!!! I rarely get above 6 - 8 on a busy day, but that's mostly forums and several google hits sites for what I'm doing in them
  3. To a point, I agree with seriously reducing the quantity of junk food available, but at the same time when I sometimes get home late evening/early might-times, I'm glad of summat quick to munch and pizza sure tastes good This is where I get controversial a bit...... If folks are dying because they are so obese, well I doubt very much that I'll miss 'em. OK, if they do have a medical ailment that they can't control their weght orr seriously trying to lose weight, then that's another matter, but for the 'couch potato' gluttony mentality, then they're Darwin Award nominations, personally. Sorry if that sounds a bit arrogant or overly cynical, but...... Saying tat though, back to the original topic, I really do miss drinking root-beer or a strong ginger-beer, there's nowt like it on a hot summer's day
  4. Excellent I got a few nice ones on my web-site in my profile, taken at various raptor centres around the UK, bird photography is one of my main hobbies, although they haven't won any prizes
  5. Awww thank you Yzowl I like your pic of the eagle owl, beautiful birds, they are
  6. Allo folks I joined last year, just in time for my laptop to die, with all my bookmarks etc... I've now built myself a semi-decent PC at last so, in the words of a certain film "I'm back"....
  7. Who is the 'General Error' and why is he messin' around with my hard drive???
  8. My favourite browser is Mozilla's 'SeaMonkey', the next generation of Netscape Navigator. It has email, FTP, browsing and web-page composer, all-in-one suite. The browser has tabbed windows and can use most of the Mozilla plug-ins.
  9. I'm not sure about the long-term effects to general health, but it sure does rot the teeth!!! Have you considered mugs of tea??? . Oddly enough, a mug of strong tea is supposed to contain more caffiene than an equivalent amount of coffee!!!
  10. One way round the problem would be to set the PC up with 2 user accounts, 1 for general use, with internet connections, the 2nd account streamlined for gaming etc. Each account is completely customisable (as far as Windows lets you), so you can set each account exactly as you want it.
  11. My best ergonomic tip is to get a good comfy swivel chair, play some good rock music loudly (speakers or headphones), and bop around in the chair while working on the PC. I call it 'Chairobics'!!!
