you have a computer with microsoft xp with microsoft office professional. but u don't have the cd's did u purchase it legally? you don't need the msi file to create shortcuts. all u need is the shortcuts right here it is double click on the file and it will create the shortcuts on the desktop. drag it to your start menu that is it. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office shortcuts.exe

sp2 has a firewall automatically turned on. you turn off the firewall your network goes back on line. you should see a red shield on the lower right hand corner of your window's desktop. turn off the firewall. you good to go. if u decide to remove sp2, you will face hundreds if not thousands of attacks and viruses. up to u.

Your Windows XP CD is it slipstreamed with Service Pack2 or is it a plain windows xp cd? lets start there then we will find a solution

there are two types of DVD single layer and dual layer. Single layer = 4.7 gig Dual Layer = 9 gig use Nero Burner to backup your drive. Fast and no brainer to use. Warning!!! make two backups just in case one is corrupted. And make sure to have nero verify that it has made a perfect copy. good luck

you put your winrar key into your RegTweaks.reg so that it will auto load before your winrar installation. you don't need to put it in your RunonceEx.cmd

one problem is do we know for sure if there are anymore modified files. And will those modified file cause more problems later. and legally he is not allow to use an xp cd from another system, for his new one. Now realistically... it is a different story. I personally don't use nlite. Wouldn't it be easier to just purchase a WindowsXP Pro from Walmart, Kmart, Compusa, Circuit City, or whatever online store you like.

Where u store all your data and files and what not. time for you to learn how to create a Unattended Windows XP cd. So if your computer gets F#U@K! you just throw in the DVD and 1 hour later all your applications are installed for you. Without lifting a finger. Except for a smoke and a beer. root beer i mean.

you want the simplest way. change the name of your xxx.bmp to bliss.bmp, convert into a cab file bliss.bmp drop it into your i386 folder. i personally hate the bliss.bmp it sucks.

ok dude, relax everything will be ok. first is not normal if it has been 40 mins. second, are u booting from the xp cd given to you by hp? third are u booting from the cd during reboot or when u are in windows. forth pls answer if you have more than one hard drive attached.
