  1. That uppercase helped me. I made the the file exactly like I wanted and it never got executed. Then I searched for threads that had the same problem. That's how I fixed it.
  2. And as an addition to previous tips: - make sure the file is in uppercase: WINNT.SIF
  3. XPlode 4?! Did you decide to name it v4 since you lost v3? I could understand that...
  4. A tip: Make the filename uppercase: WINNT.SIF I had the same problem and that fixed it.
  5. What I do with registry key(s) like that, is I REG ADD them with a batch file. Sorry. I misinterpreted the question. I thought it was a registry file.
  6. It looks great. Much better than before.
  7. I'm using this now: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Skins] "CurrentSkin"="res://wmploc/RT_TEXT/corporate.wsz" "LastViewModeVTen"=dword:00000001 And this is exactly what I wanted. Thank you.
  8. I've added it to my todo list so I won't forget. Edit: Here's the log file. The error messages in Dutch are the same as I posted before.
  9. Y'know what I want? I would like to turn off that annoying default skin. Does anyone know how?
  10. Could be that you have rewritten the CD too many times and that it doesn't work 100%. I would say burn your project on another CD and try again.
  11. Suggestions? Allright. I work alot with AutoIt. So I have some things you could add. - Run a program/installation hidden - Wait for a window/process and "kill it" when it shows up (MSN Messenger during Messenger Plus install) - Choice between: run and wait and run and continue I think when I wake up tomorrow, I'll have more ideas.
  12. I translated it for you. So you know what the error message says.
  13. I just ran the batch file. It took 1 second to finish! I'm trying to attach the log file. But there's no Upload (or something) button. I'll edit this post and paste the log file if I can't upload it. From the log file two strings weren't translated. Dutch: English: The operating system it was run on is Windows XP SP2 Dutch. I ran it in my VMware environment. I would love to help you test XPlode. I want it to be the best thing next to nLite and XPCREATE. All number ones !
  14. Can't you use 1 OEM folder? If you're making a multiboot CD/DVD, I assume you have multiple WINNT.SIF files. Thus you can have a OEM folder for every installation.
  15. Someone here (including me) couldn't get winnt.sif to work. By renaming WINNT.SIF to capital letters, the problem was solved. I suggest you add that.
  16. - There's very little information about the "cmdlines.txt" I would like to see an example and information like:
  17. - Open Display Properties - Tab appearance - Button effects You'll find it there
  18. @minalgar: I also would like to see an explanation of those registry values.
  19. I tried to look them up on Google and TweaksXP. Those I couldn't find I commented out. It doesn't matter. That registry file contains almost every tweak I'll ever need.
  20. I'll tell what I have: - I installed VMWare - Installed Windows XP Pro in the virtual machine - during setup split the "hard disk" into 2 partitions - install Windows XP on the first partition Result: Now I can install the new XP ISO on the 2nd partition and edit files from the 2nd partition. Actually I have two virtual hard disks. One hard disk is splitted and the other one I use for storing a Ghost image of the 2nd partition. Result: I always have a fresh install by restoring the Ghost image and I can copy and/or edit some files from the 2nd partition by starting the 1st partition.
  21. I downloaded the registry tweaks file from here. It's great. For my new unattended CD I want to know what every setting does. The file contains many comments that explain most of the tweaks. But not everything is commented. Can someone tell me what the following settings do? [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced] "ShowInfoTip"=dword:00000001 "HideIcons"=dword:00000000 "MapNetDrvBtn"=dword:00000001 "WebView"=dword:00000000 "Filter"=dword:00000000 "StartMenuInit"=dword:00000002 "ListviewAlphaSelect"=dword:00000000 "ListviewShadow"=dword:00000000 "ListviewWatermark"=dword:00000000 "TaskbarAnimations"=dword:00000000 "StartMenuScrollPrograms"="NO" "FriendlyTree"=dword:00000000 "ClassicViewState"=dword:00000000 "PersistBrowsers"=dword:00000000 "ServerAdminUI"=dword:00000000 "Start_ShowNetPlaces_ShouldShow"=dword:00000041
  22. StartMenuFavorites is added twice. As enabled and as disabled.
