  3. I had troubles after applying KB4487085. After installing KB4487085, many programs would not run correctly and I would sometimes receive errors like the following: "The procedure entry point sprinttf_s could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll." "Error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\NvCpl.dll" The second error message appear to be for the nVidia driver software. I removed KB4487085 and things seemed corrected.

  6. All A while ago I discovered that Amazon Prime Video stopped working on Windows XP. Attempting to open it in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox fails with "Unsupported Operating System." Additionally, spoofing the browser as Firefox 53 or newer on XP will then tell you that Firefox is missing a DRM component. However, today I discovered that Amazon Prime Video works perfectly in SeaMonkey on Windows XP. Using SeaMonkey forces Amazon to use Silverlight, and it works flawlessly! This is very surprising to me since Silverlight has been mostly deprecated across the web. I'm surprised Amazon Prime Video is compatible with it. To download Silverlight 5.1.50907 (the final release), you can download it from my FTP here: http://sdfox7.com/xp/sp3/EOL/Silverlight5.1.50907.exe To download Sea Monkey 2.49.4, you can download the full version on my FTP here: http://sdfox7.com/xp/sp3/EOL/SeaMonkey Setup 2.49.4.exe

  7. Oh right, I thought it had always worked for me, at least in Firefox. I've just checked and it's all working fine in Firefox 52.9.0 ESR with Flash version 32.0.0.114, and I'm pretty sure it did on all previous versions too. IE8 on the other hand has always had a problem in recent times displaying the version and the Flash animation itself on my system. I just see white spaces where they should be, not even empty boxes! Flash is working on other test pages in IE though.

  9. "idid try to install the newer Amazon Music installed but it would let me as system to old (XP) it needs to be Win 7 or higher" The Amazon link I provided (https://www.amazon.com/gp/dmusic/desktop/downloadPlayer?ref=dm_mo_cpw_inst) is Windows XP compatible player. I already installed it and tested it on Windows XP. That's why I provided a copy on my FTP: http://sdfox7.com/xp/sp3/EOL/AmazonMusicInstaller.exe "I managed to get Netflix to work on XP SP3 with FF esr 52.9 by installling Silverlight" Netflix also works in Chrome 49 without Silverlight, just download WideVine 1.4.8 from here: http://sdfox7.com/xp/sp3/EOL/WideVineCDM/1.4.8.zip and unzip to C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen Fox\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\WidevineCDM (you have to replace "Stephen Fox" with the name of your computer) More information here:

  15. Two things: 1) Your screenshot shows 1.16.51.1, but the sys file you attached is 1.16.38.1, and you also omitted the INF 2) Can you please provide the full device ID for your chip? I've been using a 3.0 on XP with 1.16.32.1 for a while and it's been working well. The Asmedia ROM is also very important. Just be warned that if you start playing around with the motherboard BIOS in order to modify the ROM, you could brick your board. In my case it's a discrete PCIe card. For some reason they don't make 3.1 cards with internal headers. PCIe x4 would also be nice for a 3.1 version. Oh well.
