Avast 4.8 still works for me on windows 98se I was able to register it until october 1 2014. I registered here:http://www.avast.com/go.php?verb=register-home〈=eng I did not do a new install for years. So I cannot know if a new install will work. But I can only advise to register at the above link. Maybe it works.

No problems here with opera 12.02 and kernelex 4.5.2 and windows 98 SE.

Correction I did change the letter type but got an error in the registry. I placed a good copy of the registry back. I will try again soon.

You mean that vlc uses the letter type Tahoma (Western) Size 8. I know the new vlc uses the qt framework just like the qt web browser.

I have the same problem with qtweb browser and vlc there are no words in the menu at the top. Is this a problem with the qt framework ?

Thanks for the information Windashnet. You are right Ioblo. Seems Opera 12.11 has the same problem as 12.10 Seems it will not change in the future.
