Hello Brother And Sisters( IF any),

I need Help in creating my own XP Gamer Edition. But before that i have some questions:

1) What components do i have to remove in order to make it faster?

2) What else can i do to make it faster?

I am going to use nLite..Any other things to make it a proper XP Gaming Edition Pls let me know.

lol you reminded me of my own edited version of xp made for gaming.anyway you can remove any services that is not need by your games and yet not need by your xp in order to boot-up.my best shot was 386mb(or near it).

Really? I can get my boot down to the 60-90's. 28 processes right now and im using 300...

Edit: Unless im mistaken and your talking about install size of an nlited windows. In that case ive gotten in to 212 region.

this was a great project while it latest. me and aegis were able to get an extremely small version of xp. it was such a pain to get things working but we eventually did! you can read through it to see what we did, the project has stopped tho.

'just do it' is probably the best approach, obviously keep directx and opengl support for games

You have to do the job yourself we just provide you with the info you probably couldnt find by your own.anyway see THIS LIST for details on xp services and remove any that is not needed by xp or you.

and also its a good idea to fill in all the infos when youre making the iso to make it unattended.

hmm, i guess everything was in that first post. it was an amazing OS too! ill have to talk to Aegis about it, i doubt that he has the time for it tho.
