I was thinking about trying HFSLIP with Windows Server 2003. Can Internet Explorer 7 be slipstreamed like in XP? In case negative, why not?

Thanx...

Hola

(Hello)

Si se puede hacer, usar HFSLIP con IE7 en Server 2003, yo lo uso (en español) y funciona de maravilla!

(It can be done, I slipstream IE7 on Server 2003 with HFSLIP, with no issues at all!)

HFSLIP blocks slipstreaming of IE7 into Win2K3 (ie, the IE7SLIPSTREAM variable is un-defined by force if the source OS is Win2K3) because you'd otherwise get TONS of error messages popping up during Windows setup. I don't have the time to find out the cause but I suspect the Win2K3 source doesn't like to be messed with too much.

This said, now I know why the IE7 installer pops during the installation

No matter, HFSLIP does a great job crunching IE7 into Server 2003 :thumbup

:hello:

Thanks
