XibaD Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 I was thinking about trying HFSLIP with Windows Server 2003. Can Internet Explorer 7 be slipstreamed like in XP? In case negative, why not?Thanx...
HachiRoku Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Hola(Hello)Si se puede hacer, usar HFSLIP con IE7 en Server 2003, yo lo uso (en español) y funciona de maravilla!(It can be done, I slipstream IE7 on Server 2003 with HFSLIP, with no issues at all!)Saludos(Greets)
Tomcat76 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 HFSLIP blocks slipstreaming of IE7 into Win2K3 (ie, the IE7SLIPSTREAM variable is un-defined by force if the source OS is Win2K3) because you'd otherwise get TONS of error messages popping up during Windows setup. I don't have the time to find out the cause but I suspect the Win2K3 source doesn't like to be messed with too much.
HachiRoku Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 This said, now I know why the IE7 installer pops during the installation No matter, HFSLIP does a great job crunching IE7 into Server 2003 Thanks
sabregreen Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Is there anything I could check or figure out ? Do you have any idea on what the problem is at least where I can check ?
