Update Rollup 1

Featured Replies

Hi, im new to these forums, found out about them through looking for a good unattend install guide, which you guys have a good one.

The main question I have is, for the Update Rollup 1, after downloading and install the 9mb install file it doesnt seem to have updated anything for me. I have a slipstreamed SP1 Install cd done(fresh install), and before and after install the Update Rollup 1, the number of critical/recommended updates has not changed at all. I haven tried intergrating it into the unattened install and still really no difference in it.

My recommendation is to start over. I am a complete newb and try to follow things to the letter. Mine works pretty good. One hotfix did not install but Im working on it.

Is it giving you any kind of errors?? I have made an XP SP1, Rollup Pack 1 cd that so far has worked without fault.

I've made one too and so far there's no error that i know of.

When i checked for updates, i have 12 critical ones to go.

is it a newly installed xp?

otherwise you might have already installed those updates that are included in the rollup

rollup is just a combination of updates so If you installed the previous hotfixes it probably won't install

anyways did you get an error during the install

also check the log file in c:\windows

I somehow don't have one on the rollup maybe I've deleted it I don't know but you should have it...
