.NET Framework

When trying to install [Catalyst Control Center] into a PC with WinXP Home an error message pops up that say .NET Framework is required.

I know nothing about .NET Framework, I know though that there are different versions, 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0., the question is: must I install them all starting say from 1.0 etc., or is it sufficient to opt just one, e.g., version 2.0 alone?

Your hint will be highly appreciated.

I've never used a .NET application that needed v1.1 as opposed to v2.0. If one does, it's the programmer's intention for whatever reason.

But v2.0 is all you need.

In most cases, if a program is made for 1.0 or 1.1, then it will work with 2.0 installed. However, some installers check for the specific version number, so will not install unless you have the correct version installed.
