Sometimes, when I try to return Vista from sleep, I get a black screen with a blinking white _ at the top. Then it turns into four, 2 light, 2 dark, then it goes away. Then a screen with _s fading in and out in columns, light at the top, dark in the middle, light at the bottom, dark at the top, light in the middle, dark at the bottom... Then it returns normally.

It's not even worth it because ALWAYS when I return it from sleep, I have to completely restart it to get it to connect to the network again.

what version of vista u using and when that happens have u tried alt+ctrl+delete ? is there any sign of activity? what about HDD lcd?

Have you fully updated your OS? MS have mentioned similar problems to this & there is a couple of hotfixes available.

Forgot I posted this.

I'm using Vista Ultimate, no it's not a screensaver, nothing happens if I press Ctrl-alt-delete. hard drive lights are on.

Have you tried the updates yet?

And what does this have to do with Vista unattended?
