melmoth Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Hello everybody, since I installed my new nlited winxp sp2, I cannot play wmv anymore with media player classic (I removed wmp). Not even manually installing wmp codecs (via .INF right clicking), nor installing ffdshow filter. So I thought of installing back WMP 6.4, but couldn't find it anywhere. Does anybody know if it is downloadable at all?Thank you in advance,Melmoth
-I- Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 strange as removing - wmp ect should also still live wmp-compatibilitie tweak enabled, btw, isn't there a simple way if you'd install the klite+ or mega codec pack .... (afaik wmv 7 is included there...
dead0 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 you need to leave in wmp6.4 in xp to keep compatibility!
tap52384 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Try installing Windows Media Lite:http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Windows_Media_Lite.htmPerhaps this will prevent you from having to reinstall.
melmoth Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 Thank you all for the support.I tried both the mega codec pack and the windows media lite, but nothing, I still get the "cannot render the file" in MPC ...
bledd Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 installing this fixes it http://ksphere.free.fr/site/codecspackage.php
