Aaron Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 AFAIK, TClock works well on Win2k for changing the start button text on the fly. As well as theming up your taskbar a bit.http://homepage1.nifty.com/kazubon/tclock/

Kernelnewbie Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 explorer.exe BITMAP 143 StartButton Iconexplorer.exe STRING TABLE 34 533-StartButton ToolTipexplorer.exe STRING TABLE 37 578-Text on StartButtonthanks i was just about to ask about this.TClock has to be run each time (on startup boot) when win starts.i wanted a wireless or programless program even that just modifies it forever.how do i modify this? reshack explorer.exe.i know the bit where you end the explorer.exe and run it again.so close explorer, reshack, run again? or is another program needed for this type of change
demlak Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 just edit the explorer exe with your favourite ressource editor.. but remember to backup the original explorer.exe and also remember to replace all needed files, this also includes the ones in dllcche folder and so on.. just take a look on this site for replacing "in use" files..
Kernelnewbie Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 yo i used Resource Hacker. hrmm and i can't find anything with that?i only see other pictures. :/
