So you're saying that everytime Windows loads, you're sometimes and sometimes not required to enter your login credentials for Windows? The only thing I can think of is if you or another user is toggling with the Auto Login option or the user password. If the user account has a password enabled, you should be prompted each time.

That is the strange thing about it. I'm the only one on this computer and it's intermittent;(

Have you tried recreating your account? Have you tried playing around with Tweak UI at all?

Start > Run > CMD > net user password

Replace user with your username and password with the desired password.

Reboot and that should now take affect.

net user YOUR_USERNAME YOUR_PASSWORD

Example:

net user ablafontain mywindowspassword

You may also want to try Start > Run > control userpasswords2

Advanced Tab > Advanced User Management > Advanced

Go under Users (folder)

What users are enabled and which are disabled?

I tried the user and my name and pass. Did not work. Look at att. Thanks

Have you tried running it like this?

%systemroot%\system32\net.exe user username password

If that doesn't work, then your net.exe file has somehow disappeared or been moved elsewhere.
