The images are missing. You got delete-happy I'm assuming and cleaned out many seemingly unimportant small images, which isn't really a critical problem. You can still use the functionality, or even learn to do those tasks via command-line and avoid the interface entirely. Cheers. :hello:

Well, given the examples set by some people out there, you can never be too sure. ;)

The easiest way would be to do a repair install which would copy over those images again. I'm not familiar with those particular images so I'm unable to provide you with specific filenames.

You may want to give Dial-a-fix a try; a required .DLL file may have unregistered.

Moving this to the Windows XP forum, since this is a Windows XP issue. ;)

Try this..

Fix_Red_X.reg

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.ico]@="icofile"

"PerceivedType"="image"

"Content Type"="image/x-icon"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.ico\PersistentHandler]

@="{098f2470-bae0-11cd-b579-08002b30bfeb}"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\icofile]

@="Icon"

"ImageOptionFlags"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\icofile\DefaultIcon]

@="%1"

Btw, I had the same problem few weeks ago..If you search around this forum, you'll find my post regarding this problem..but sadly I didnt get much help to get it fixed...countless hours of searches on google has found me with this registry file..I cant recall what exactly the site address I found this reg file at as I didnt really pay attention to it..I just randomly clicked on search results..If you happen to know or used to see this reg file somewhere, please post the site url here..thank you
