Silver Sonic Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I ran XPize over my PC and have to say it looks great withe LE5! But there is one thing I don't like. It's the bootscreen. There isn't any sign of activity on it and I want the old one back! Can I change it with force reload? And how to do it?

aNILEator Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I must say i also dislike the Boot Screen due to lack of visual activity, so now i just go through installer and de-select Boot Screen and emule support (who even uses emule these days )
Tarun Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Yeah, the boot screen is rather... boring. The 98SE SP2.1a replaces the boot screen to something nice. Can XPize eventually do the same?
XPero Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Screenshot or detalied info on that bootscreen you say please?
qwerty12 Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Maybe one that reshacks the kernal please? Then you could have the activity bars etc.
Tarun Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Screenshot or detalied info on that bootscreen you say please? It's basically one of the Windows XP Bliss desktop wallpaper with the Windows 98SE Service Pack 2.1a on it.
freanir Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 (edited) I belive this is the bootscreen, he's talking about:http://www.nandlstadt.com/windows98SE_bootlogo.jpg Edited January 17, 2007 by freanir
Ultimate Predator Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I can't see that picture, just goes to the main site. I agree though, I never patch the boot screen with XPize's.
Tarun Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Try doing this:[img=http://www.nandlstadt.com/windows98SE_bootlogo.jpg]Then hit Preview, sometimes it works.
Tarun Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Shame, worked the other day; that was how I verified it.Saved it with DownThemAll and upped it to ImageShack.
