Tomcat76, do you mean a clean MS source with bare source?

This was a SP1a RU1 version.

HFSLIP supports these sources:

1) Clean Windows source (without ANY updates or service packs)

2) Windows source with a service pack slipstreamed but NOTHING else (NO hotfixes, NO rollups, NOTHING)

Wasn't thinking for games etc, just update purpose.

Then you don't need these cabs because the contained DLLs are NEW (they don't exist in an original Windows source).

If you want the advanced gaming support, include those files in HFCABS. If you don't need them, then don't include them!

I don't think it is possible. Also, .NET is not installed unless you include it as a self-extracting switchless installer in HFSVCPACK.

Like I keep telling you, please read this page. Yes, KB904706 is needed as a critical hotfix whether or not you include the DX9 cabs. The DX9 cabs are extra files not already in XP SP2 and are only needed in some gaming situations. KB904706 updates something already in your source. Edited January 4, 2007 by Super-Magician
