I'm basically trying to remove ODBC and Jet database engine from the install while still being able to run OOo and MediaMonkey.

So does anybody know all the files that are needed to run OOo and MediaMonkey that are part of ODBC and Jet Datatbase Engine?

Really? I thought OOo needed Jet Database Engine to run since MS Office needs it. Now if I can only find the files that are truely needed to run MediaMonkey.

i wouldn't think OOo could open MS Access Databases without Jet. Why would you want to get rid of ODBC? Are you strictly using JDBC?

So I need ODBCCP32.DLL to run MediaMonkey. On page 1 it says that it needs both ODBC & Jet Database Engine. Does anybody know the files needed from Jet Database to run MediaMonkey?
try to keep ODBCCP32.DLL and test, then keep both and test, ..etc

If you load Office/Access doesn't that either reload or update the Jet engine anyway?? So if it's removed from an OS source no big deal, right??

If so, just go ahead and delete Jet and ODBC with nlite but keep the one .dll (ODBCCP32.DLL) needed to support both OOo and MM.

I remember that Jet engine is required for MS Office and some other application, and nLite is really did explained this issue when you point to Jet engine with your mouse!

I kept ODBCCP32.DLL and removed Jet Database Engine. Now MediaMonkey won't get past the logo on startup. Does anybody know the files needed from Jet Database Engine to run MediaMonkey?
you must keep Jet Database Engine
