  1. I doubt it can be supported. These installers are programs, pure and simple, nothing to unpack. They may contain a script of some sort that can be interpreted, but I doubt anything short of disassembly would do the trick.
  2. Oops, missed that post! Well, thanks for explaining
  3. Thanks for the beta! Have you had any luck getting those cabs I mentioned earlier to extract? All the cabs that I've had trouble extracting came with InstallShield v12 dlls, and the logs show that UE tries to extract them as v5 cabs.. dunno how many versions UE recognises, but these new cabs are obviously different! I don't have any small examples for you to test with unfortunately, but for another example try the 1.2 patch for the game Overlord. PS: tested with the new 1.6 beta.
  4. 7-zip 4.52 beta has been released, now featuring support for extracting MSI and doc files Seems like 7-zip is taking a hint from UE!
  5. Dunno if this has been mentioned yet, but as I'm using the updated unofficial 1.5.0.1, here's an archive where the data1.cab can't be extracted. Thanks for your hard work
  6. Aah, thanks for the swift reply. I didn't have any browser windows open so I didn't realise, but I was still downloading something.
  7. Heya Shark, I just downloaded and installed your 8.1 Extreme build, and it's asking me to reboot. This might be due to installing it over 8.0, I don't know.
  8. While I can't answer your query, I can point you to someone who may be able to help you more than most. I'm referring to RogueSpear, who has a website here (forum here) and also does this sort of thing for a living. I don't know how often he checks this forum. Otherwise, good luck solving your problem, it sounds like quite a puzzle!
  9. Hmm, interesting. Here are two others I found once.. the first one is probably the 16-bit equivalent of yours, and the second looks less versatile, as I don't know if/where you can add the numerical code. Do you know of any documentation on said codes? rundll setupx.dll,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 128 filename.inf rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection filename.inf, DefaultInstall Edit: nevermind, I found it: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/En-US/library/aa376957.aspx
  10. No problem and thanks for the update. Out of curiosity, where did you get the .msi file in your installer and how new is it? (I've tried to get an msi from Adobe but the latest was 10.1.4.020 and after I accidentally deleted it they've now taken it down x.x Just get a 'file not found'..)
  11. Thanks for the update, however I think you uploaded the version that includes the media library twice as both files have the same size
  12. Just a notice, in working on my own silent installer I noticed Shockwave was updated to 10.2.0.22.
