Office XP is an Office suite. Windows XP Professional is an operating system.

And please don't double-post. You'll get your answers better if you pick the right forum and only post the question once.

Welcome to MSFN mate :hello:

Please post 1 post only under the suitable forum because this is against rules, but I think you did not checked rules yet as a new member does.

There are two versions for MS Office XP as far as I know:

Microsoft Office XP Standard and Microsoft Office XP Professional

I think you will not need more then then standard one, and to use more light application you may try open office

XP Pro is an Operating System, (for example, it is what runs Microsoft Office) And Office XP is a set of applications for doing Student/Office goer work.

I would guess that XP Professional is better because it runs Microsoft Office :P
