Twisted Maniac Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 hi guys, i just re-installed my win2k pro....and updated everythingbut for some reason i don't have MS Virtual Machine installed i can't find it anywhere and when i try to install msjava.exe it tells me it's a protected system file and can't install....so can any1 help me to the MS Virtual machine?
Aaron Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 The new MS Java Virtual Machine is listed as a security Update on Windows Update, you can either install from there, or download it from the Corporate Windows Update site.If you're trying to install XP's Java VM on Windows 2000, then it won't work.
jroc Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 if windows update will not show you the ms virtual machine....you can find it on a search with goggle..the lastest version of ms virtual machine is 3810
spockboy Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Keep in mind, MS Java Virtual Machine development has been discontinued, and as far as I know Microsoft no longer provide the software from their website.Future Java runtime and development platforms are now developed by Sun, and you can find the various Java packages available at http://www.java.com/
OcDevil Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Here's a link to the Virtual Machine it works just fine:http://www.tweakup.dk/fil_arkiv/c22d4c6ed7...se/msjavx86.exe
ggtyh Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 I installed the www.java.com version and it works fine.
