  4. use VMware to boot with your iso...u can say the iso is the CD-rom device...it saves u some CD's
  5. madmick...i have the same problem..dunno wuts cousing it either
  6. u just want an update-disk?....make 1 yourself ...download all the patches and then create a command.txt file or something that installs all of them after setup is finished
  7. Sure, but if that was such an easy thing to do ... don't ya think they would have done it already? ... Lets be happy that they care releasing patches at all ... well...M$ did leave some bugs into it;s programs...they can create a "superproduct" but that would be so durable that no1 would buy another version of the product....and if no1 buys another version M$ doesn;t make profit....and..well..u know the story i think that if M$ would have programmed those "known bugs" out you would have had a lot less updates but hey..it's a conspiracy of M$, the gouvernment and the little green man from mars!!
  8. pff...well sorry m8..i was @ work saw this topic and rememberd that i needed those....and i had little time...u don;t have to bite off my head for that
  9. hey...could you tell me where to download all the executable hotfixes? i'm goin to create my own cd soon but i need those hotfixes and sp1
  10. hello ppl, i have a question; i have a test setup for the following: i want to share a folder on pc1, this folder is named Software. On pc2 i connect to that folder with network drive mapping, so far so good. but now i want to set security levels for that folder, like: user_a, or computer_a has acces to the software folder but user_b, or computer_b doesn't, now...i know how to do this in win2k but i'm lost in winXp (i am NOT talkin about local accounts ) both machines are running WinXP Pro on a NTFS partition and i'm using a workgroup atm. could the problem be that i use a workgroup instead of a domain? in win2k that did not really matter but it may be different in winxp...not sure though.... if any1 can help....TnX
  11. suggestion: a close, minimize and maximize button in the window...it;s quite anoying without it
  12. you could solve it to go into your bios and manually assign the irq's to all the PCI slots...that most of the time works cous windows inherits those settings
