this seems confusing

i just put the WPI directory with the windows disc folders and make an ISO?

my install disc (normal)

how does it know to boot with the WPI stuff? i tried to install with the WPI and it said the disc wasnt bootable

you need the OEM file as well

unzip n put into the root of the XPCD

or the CD folder

like

$OEM$

WPI

folders and other stuff

it doesnt have an OEM folder. do i download it or something? my copy is a corporate version, i dont know if that would change anything.

Oh der I get what you mean. You need to do some work or just download nLite from here http://www.nliteos.com/ and run it selecting your source and then the create iso option.

Information needs to be added to the cd to make it bootable and nLite can do that fer you.

well, if you have done all your work with the CD, use nLite to make a bootable CD

If you done a Nlite

and make it to a CD or dvd from the Nlite program i found it myself that the cd / dvd ist bootable

or i f**ked up something in a setting

so i make an ISO than test it in Vmware than i burn it to cd / dvd afters i know its boots and it does the text install part without a problem

If you need any files copies over to the hard disk you need to create an $OEM$ folder on your own. You don't have to download it from anywhere.

You can extract the boot image from your original cd by a software named bbie.exe. Look for "Bart's PE". You will get all the info you need to make a bootable CD/DVD. Just use it in your software like Nero or whatever.
