Whats a Good .PDF Reader/Creator for Win9x?

Featured Replies

I am working on a little PDF project and I need a good PDF Creator.I was about to buy the latest Adobe Acrobat Pro but it didn't support Windows 98 SE  .Is there an Open Source Creator of PDF documents

??

Acrobat 5.0

Foxit PDF Editor (portable, one file).

You definitely don't need the latest.

I use pdfFactory - is very good but not free and not open source.

Yes It Is, you may not believe that some use open office for this purpose only, and the offered survey from Open Office contains a question for the reason for using Open Office, and a PDF option is one of the choices ;)
EDIT:Wait a minute...OpenOffice Can Create .PDF format files?

Yes, it has Save as PDF function and it works very well.

Well I heard Enough...I'm downloading OpenOffice

  • 4 weeks later...

Another option if you don't want to download the whole suite just to get pdf is to download the printer driver program primo pdf which generates pdfs just fine.

Try FreePDF. You will need the Gjostscriptfiles. I like it very much. You can find it at http://www.shbox.de/.

There are versions for Win9x/ME and WinXP

As a reader I recommend Foxit Reader.
