newsposter
This is just a common sense item. With all of the pirated versions of XP floating around on the net and now someone is trying to sell integrated XP install disks with 'SP3' it's more than possible that MSFT could take a hard look at msfn and decide that this site promotes piracy and dilutes MSFTs 'trademarks'.It doesn't matter that this is an end-user support site. If MSFT decides msfn isn't in their best interrest, including copyright and trademark issues, we'll be gone.If we don't police ourselves, then MSFT will do it for us. Zxian
Discussion about the official Service Pack 3 from Microsoft (due out in early 2008) will continue to be allowed. There is no reason why we can't talk about this.Any discussion about the "XP SP3" ISO that's floating around the internet will be dealt with accordingly. Don't worry... we know how to deal with topics like that.

IcemanND
I think if MSFT was going to have a problem with MSFN it would have happened already. After five years I don't see it happening, especially when their own tech support uses it to provide answers to problems.
LLXX
If they don't like something you're doing M$ will just issue a letter to the effect of "remove all illegal material" that they can see, and if you do, that's the end of that.
Lost Soul
i dont see anything illegal about sp3, anything leading to it is just pre sp3 hotfixes and still nothing concrete, youll never see any illegal content on this site,, so i agree with every iceman
