ricktendo Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 (edited) Most of us do a lot of VM installs and it is always a pain in the but to install the VMWare tools after installation. Now all you need to do is use this addon and the tools will be integrated at the t-13 stage. Before you ask if these are left on for a real install the silent installer will simply fail, no interruptions or anything just no install.1.2 Changelog Updated to current VMWare5 version on 2007/05/03VMWare 5 Tools addon:Size - 3.12 megs MD5Hash = 33C4A6B33685F2B6B57E65AF3F09539DBrought to you by KelCorp.Version5===============================================Updated to 6.0.2.59824VMWare 6 Tools addon:Size - 5.57 megs MD5Hash = 01892DF0E0C7E807260C38F87AB23473Brought to you by KelCorp.Version6 Edited December 9, 2007 by Kelsenellenelvian

If it´s possible.

This is just a silent switch addon of the VMware Tools inside the Windows.iso in Program Files\VMware WorkstationMaybe nLite can set the rez... Im gonna try and see if the registry can maybe set the rez and try and make a RunOnce inf or something... Edited November 14, 2006 by ricktendo64
Kelsenellenelvian Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I set the res in my winnt.sif file and it works in VMWare with this addon...
0d14r3 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Hi, Kelsenellenelvian.I never work with winnt.sif.Setting resolution in winnt.sif will change the resolution in VMWare only or my real machine too? Were in winnt.sif I change for set resolution? Thanks Kelsenellenelvian and rictendo64 for yours reply.
jimmsta Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 This is well needed. Thansk a lot for creating a self-detecting addon. Now I can test my installs with peace of mind, and not have to worry about installing the VMTools package. Very cool.
