just thought i'd add, these ati drivers made 3dmark go from 4450 (default drivers) to 5344, i'm assuming thats good! wonder what the next drivers will be like...assuming the retail vista will be better performing! well hopefully :P

Note: The following ATI features are not supported in the Catalyst® Vista RTM driver for the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system:

· CrossFire™

· Catalyst® Control Center Video aspect page

· OpenGL

· VIVO support

· The capture driver for these products is not being updated at this time

Well, looks like we still don't get any OpenGL support from ATI. For shame, as that's really the only thing holding me back from moving over to Vista as my main system. Using Maya through Microsoft's OpenGL to DirectX wrapper is just plain painful. Hopefully by the time retail ships in January ATI gets their OpenGL act together.

  • 4 weeks later...

what i immediately saw is that radeon 9550 is now supported

what's new: nothing.. same s***.. no opengl, no crossfire

will waste time upgrading: no, not before opengl drivers are released

anyways, thx for the news.. it's a pity u bought an ati card again, kartel.. :)
