October 20, 200619 yr I downloaded pictures from a camera - then burned them to a cd-r disc. When I got home I tried to download the pics into my computer and all I get are icons ! With .dat file extensions - whick I have tried to change to jpeg - but it still didn't make a difference ! What can I do to get the pics ??thanks in advance for any help !
October 20, 200619 yr Author There's the problem - My friend didn't really know how to burn the cd, and I don't know a heck of a lot about computers - so I'm stuck !!Thay are all there in my documents - I just can't get them to open !I can open them for a split second with Nero - but that's it !

October 21, 200619 yr you need to give more info if you expect us to be able to help.what model camera? with just that one could probably figure out the rest.how many .dat files are there, how are they named, and how big are they?
