Hope you get an answer - I have the same problem only with a lexmark printer !!

Hi ! Major frustration here ! I don't know a whole lot about computers - so be patient please!! I bought a Soney DVD + - RW recorder. It came with the whole Nero 6 tools. So I spent a few hours making a DVD slideshow with some of my pics! But when it came time to burn - it spit out my DVD-RW disc and said that it wasn't the right type of disc for my project or the files (pics) were the wrong format ! They are jpg by the way. So which is it ??? My DVD disc or my files ???I did manage to burn to a CD - but I want to watch it on TV!! Not just on my computer !! Can anyone help me with this ?? Thanks in advance !

There's the problem - My friend didn't really know how to burn the cd, and I don't know a heck of a lot about computers - so I'm stuck !! Thay are all there in my documents - I just can't get them to open ! I can open them for a split second with Nero - but that's it !

I downloaded pictures from a camera - then burned them to a cd-r disc. When I got home I tried to download the pics into my computer and all I get are icons ! With .dat file extensions - whick I have tried to change to jpeg - but it still didn't make a difference ! What can I do to get the pics ?? thanks in advance for any help !

My son bought a camera that uses the windvd5 program to run his videos - but when he tries to send them to me - I can't open them ! Is there any way to change them so I can view them in Real or windows media or quicktime ?? Please help - He live 2000 miles away and would love to see the videos ! Thanks for any help !

What I mean is - I know I CAN hook up the two modems ( ethernet and internet high speed) but can I still use either one when needed??Or will one cancel out the other ?? I know absolutly nothing about computer hardware, so I want to be sure before hooking up my highspeed modem! The ethernet is work related and I'll be in deep #$%& if I screw it up ! Thanks again !

Thanks to MSFN for getting me out of many problems with my computer !!!! Now, I need to know if you can have an ethernet modem and an internet highspeed modem on the same computer??? The ethernet is used for weekly reports coming from the head office at work, Now we want to connect to high speed internet. Can I connect the new modem with out it interfering with my ethernet modem ?? Thanks in advance for any help I can get !!

Please help !! I want to format my hard disc ( been 2 years ) The last computer geek that upgraded my computer installed XP Pro ! Since I don't have the disc for XP Pro , I want to revert back to my XP Home ! I insert the disk - and it says I can't revert back to XP Home !! Please help ! Also , why do I have only one disc of XP Home - shouldn't there be several ??
