Maleko Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 As the title goes...I use the DVD writer which is a NEC 3520 Drive, and after either, burning, or reading a DVD it wont eject, the process is complete, but windows wont eject it, not even by manual button press.I have to reboot to eject the disc.I thought...drive maybe at fault, and seeming as DVD writers are cheap i got a new Pioneer DVR-111DSV.SAME problem...Any thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

MHz Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Bad media can cause this. If windows struggles to read it then it goes into a stupid loop. Not a fault of the drive for this. Had same problems years ago with the better made non-taiwanese made sony drives. It took me awhile to eventually say the media is the fault.It is differcult to locate and buy good media now .
