footballking3420 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I want to get rid of all the ones that I don't need and keep only the IDE Bus Driver that I have. Where would I found what my IDE Bus Driver is? Only thing I could find by searching through my Device Manager is things with Intel before it. Does that mean it's an Intel IDE Bus Driver?
Mikep7779 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 i remove the one that i know i will never need.
Ver Greeneyes Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 That doesn't seem like a very helpful reply. So far as I know your IDE Bus controller should be listed under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers in the Device Manager.. but if all you see listed is Intel, then logically that's what you'd have. Which Bus driver you have is dependant on your motherboard's chipset; for instance, my ASRock Dual-SATAII motherboard is based on ULi's 1595 chipset; hence my ALi IDE bus controller.
