Slow instal on VM....

Slipstream----------->Ok, no problems!

WinXpsp2 instal----->Ok, no problems!

From the last boot during XP instal(VM) to the desktop is ready to use it took 28min.

During those 28min the display was black.

Is it "normal" that it takes 28min to complete?

Tried WinUpdate , no updates necessary!

If Iwant to integrate Bâshrat the Sneaky's DriverPacks, do I do that befor or after HFslip?

I am not sure why you would have to wait 28 minutes. Only thing I can say is to try it in a regular system (not virtual machine).

It still takes 28 minutes? No, this isn't normal. Try removing the hotfixes that are not on our lists (if there are any) or use the latest test release (60924a).

I don't think it makes a difference but it depends on what they change in the source. I never actually tried them out... Edited September 24, 2006 by Tomcat76

Using HFSLIP Version - 60810----------------------->ok

Using DriverPacks BASE 6.08.6 all driverpacks---->ok

In that order

It works, tested on/with VM,laptop and PC.

Approximately instaltime 55min.

Checked with QFECHECK, and this did not get installed;

KB917734

But Winupdate said no updates is necessary.....

Checked further, these was instaled. Just dont appear as instaled when checked with QFECHECK.

Are you using QEMU for the VM? If you are that's probably why. It's known to take it's sweet time under QEMU.

Strangely, with QEMU, if you keep on moving the mouse, Windows Setup may go faster!

It still takes very long time to start

Well, for one thing, you are including x64 DirectX binaries in an x86 system.

There are multilingual versions, but you need to install it on a running system and search WindowsUpdate.log (or it's norwegian file name) for 905474.

I haven't seen a localized version yet. Never really tried to find one, though, since the English version is working fine.
