I just thought I'd make this, as it doesn't really tie into any of the other lists (possible exception of Tomcat's)

hi the_guy! could this: FIX: The Windows Media Player process may unexpectedly quit when Internet Explorer is configured to use administrator-approved ActiveX controls cause wmp10 or even wmp11 to just be up for a few seconds & close rightaway? been having this issue & have raised it to TC too in the test release thread?

TC, could this be? i'll try to remove this in 1 of my tests ...

your advise would be highly appreciated! thanks! :)

It might be although I can't immediately see why. What's for certain is that you don't need it when including the security hotfix WindowsMedia10-KB917734-x86-ENU.exe, which includes a newer version of wmp.dll.

hi! just wanted to add for closure purposes ... ;)FIX: The Windows Media Player process may unexpectedly quit when Internet Explorer is configured to use administrator-approved ActiveX controls was not the culprit ... removing all WMP HFs resulted to the same concern ...
