No6 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 After a quick search I starnded here. Does anybody knows a way to completely remove the 'Send To' in the context menu.Hope it is actually possible You can remove the following from the Registry;HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Send To
Andromeda43 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I find Send To: Drive A: a real easy way to copy a file to a floppy disk. Also, Send To: Desktop and Create a Shortcutis the best way I know to make a shortcut of a file and put it on the desktop, all in one operation.maybe you CAN, remove it, but I sure wouldn't want to.Cheers!Andromeda43 B)
LeveL Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 (edited) Why?, would anyone want to? Sorry I couldn't help lolling at that... its like a tourist going toParis and saying "Can you show me the way to the Eiffel Tower"and the French guy says "why would you want to go there".Sorry Andromeda43, maybe I have a warped sense of humour. Dude111 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Welcome to the site I personally like having 'SEND TO' on my right click menu (But i can see why someone wouldnt want it there if its not used often)
GrofLuigi Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 (edited) I put shortcuts to everything in SendTo (media players, text & graphic editors) and remove their file associations (which is far more bloat). GL Edited January 12, 2009 by GrofLuigi
Dude111 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 The only problem with removing the extention is: You have to manually tell the computer which app to open..
GrofLuigi Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 The only problem with removing the extention is: You have to manually tell the computer which app to open..Yep, that's what I said... For example: audio i keep only those files I have (wav, mp3) - everything else goes under the knife. GL
