No Addon Installed/Worked

Ok people,

I already tried 4 times and always the same thing.

I downloaded all the hotfixes I wanted and the Addons

(i'm creating one XP SP2 CD)

Right now i'm with 109 hotfixes and 9 addons

the addons are:

DotNET v1.1 and v2.0 (foxy_dotnet_1.1_and_2.0_svcpack_addon_v1.1.cab)

Microsoft Java Pack v1.0 (microsoft_java_addons.cab)

RogueSpear's InstallShield Script Engine Addon v11.0 (RogueSpearAddonsISScript.cab)

CMDHere v1.4 (Kels_CMDHere_addon_v1.4.cab)

Kels Runtimes Pack v1.5 (Kels_Runtimes_addon_v1.5.CAB)

Windows Update v6 (nLiteOn_WinUv6.cab)

and these two, that I made with 'nLite Add-On Maker' and 2 installers from

Macromedia Shockwave Player v10.1.3 (swInstaller.cab)

Java 2 Platform Standard Edition v1.5.0.8 (jre1508.cab)

everything add on Nlite Hotfix tab.. and ISO done.

The problem is, nothing is installed on the windows setup, I mean, nothing, well, sorry, the only

one working is the 'CMDHere' addon, I don't know how to check the 'InstallShield Script Engine

Addon' and the 'Kels Runtimes Pack v1.5', but the others, nothing.

Java ? nothing.

DotNet ? nothing. (its the third version I try)

Microsoft Java ? nothing.

Windows Update v6 ? nothing (well, I just don't know if this is the last version, but when I

start windows update on the installed XP, it asks to install the new version)

What's wrong people ? It's just with me ?

Ok, some screens I made, checking if the programas are installed (yes, i'm using VMWARE):

Shockwave:

shockwavegx3.th.jpg

Sun Java:

javaerroryo7.th.jpg

Microsoft Java:

javamicrosoftgf6.th.jpg

DotNET (no Microsoft.NET folder on the WINDOWS folder)

dotnetip6.th.jpg

Windows Update (its on portuguese, but it's asking to download the new version)

winupdate2im6.th.jpg

thank you very much.

Under the section [setupHotfixesToRun] the exe files you downloaded from my site should be listed there also.

EXAMPLE :

[setupHotfixesToRun]swInstaller.exe

jre1508.exe

I should also mention that he actual files should be in a folder named SVCPACK which is found within I386

Maybe it has something to do with the language :(

The only things that arent getting installed are the Engish addons

How so ?

Is it my Nlite language ? (i'm using it in English) or my System language (Brazilian Portuguese) ?

Penso que é por estares a instalar patches em inglês num XP português.

I might be wrong, im just throwing ideas out there, have you tried the RyanVM Integrator to integrate just the addons?

Here is another idea, Try to integrate the addons without the hotfixes with nLite and see if it works that way.

Also do the same with RVM-Integrator and tell me the results.

Not yet, it's harder than Nlite..

gonna try now... let me see what I can do.

Ok people,

In these two days I tried using the RyanVM Integrator, and guess.... got some strange error/bug.

I built one XP PRO SP2 ISO on Nlite, with all my options and Media Player removed.

Tested, installed, and Fine... worked fine (VMWare)

Tried the RyanVM Integrator, add on Addons (9 of them) and the program create one ISO for me. apparently it worked, all the Addons programs in the SVCPACK folder, nice :)

Installing this build I got some strange errors, the first one was @ T13, some strange 'Update.exe' error, I clicked OK and continued..... so I got a lot of errors on the Windows itself.

I tought maybe was some Addon error and start building another XP2 with just 3 Addons to test... and the same errors (not the 'Update.exe' anymore @ T13).

Tried again, changed the Addons and... Error...

The last one I did, I only add the 'Kels_CMDHere_addon_v1.4.cab' and, error again... So It's some Integrator error (Yes, I already got this Addon installed using only Nlite, No problem at all)

This is the first boot on XP, I got this error everytime:

ryaninterroreq0.th.jpg

What we can see on that Image ?

1- The error prompt, 'windows was unable to find the file framedyn.dll'

2- The 'Internet Explorer' Ico is gone on the start menu.

3- The windows tour popup is appearing, even though I clicked on Nlite to not show

This is my 'RyanVM Integrator' options:

thanks :(

My XP install was getting stuck at T-13 using nLite (http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=81390), but now I used RyanVM Integrator to put the addons in and the same error as described by saulob happens. Will report in RyanVM forum also.

EDIT: After doing a lot of forum searching I found out that I had to check the sysoc.inf file, I did so and there was only 1, wrote on it; so I guess that an addon currupted it, I'm going to check it out one addon at a time, I suggest you do the same(you will just have to check out the sysoc.in_ file and use the "expand" command to find out what it has.)

EDIT2: And now after testing it seems that when integrating addons on a non-english WinXP (I have a spanish one), the sysoc.inf file gets corrupted. Will try something right now, and will post later to see if it worked.

EDIT3: Even with a corrected sysoc.inf I got the same errors that saulob, I'm clueless now :(.

EDIT4: At last it worked, you've got to use first nLite to integrate the hotfixes and use nLite a 2nd time for the addons. If it doesn't work just try with half the addons, if the problem is still there use the other half, and so; that is the faster way and worked for me, good luck.

Ok, afeter 19 tries I got my FULL XP SP2 CD... what I did ?

No, the error with RVM-Integrator still there, I just left that program.

I created another cd from SCRATCH, add SP2, removed media player, Add only the addons (the same 9) and created my ISO, ok, worked fine, all the addons was there on the SVCPACK file and folder.

Tested, and went fine :)

Now I just need to integrate all the XP HOTFIXES (109 files), open my Last Session with the Addons already integrated and Add all the fixes, everything worked in the end.

Checked the SVCPACK file and was all right.

So.. WORKED!! after 19 tries and with no RVM-Integrator.

Go figure out what went wrong. I know that when I tried HOTFIXES+Addons together the build didn't work.

Neox, sorry, I just left the RVM-Integrator.

nuhi, thanks, I hope that you can fix some bug with this info.

thank you a lot guys.
