Shindo_Hikaru Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 What is your opnion regarding this new buyout.http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=3590
CptMurphy Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I'm surprised they could affor it. I heard bad reviews from many of SanDisk's products.
#rootworm Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 how does sandisk buying a competitor make the market more competitive? it makes it LESS competitive which is their goal.flash technology is oldhat, they should have spent money on newer technology instead of riding it into the ground.toshiba is also fond of investing large amounts of money into old technology, so it doesn't surprise me these two companies from the dark ages are cooperating.investors should get out while they can.
ripken204 Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 how does sandisk buying a competitor make the market more competitive? it makes it LESS competitive which is their goal.you're right
Shindo_Hikaru Posted August 3, 2006 Author Posted August 3, 2006 Much like how does AMD buying ATI become more compeative.
ripken204 Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 but if there's less competition, then how is it more competitive? please explain how amd+ati makes it more competitive? there are only 2 cpu manufacurers that matter and each are trying their hardest.
