Hi,

Now that the hot weather has set in, my CPU is reaching ~40'c, so I'm looking for another cooling solution. Currently, I have a big Akasa cpu fan and thats about it. So, I'm looking for two standard exhaust fans, which must be silent(ish) as the noise is already quite loud lol.

BTW : Its for a 939 a64 system.

If anyone knows where to get them please let me know ... btw im in the uk.

Thanks

HougTimo

the silenx fans dont create much airflow, thus they are quiet. i would recommend getting some panaflos which create lots of airflow but are also pretty queit, especially on a fan controller.

Also, ball bearings make more noise, there are fans with sleeve bearing that are a few dB/A lower but they last 70% of the life of the ball bearing ones but that won’t be a problem for most home users ;).

Nexus fans are the best comprimise between silence and airflow that I've found. I've got an 80mm SilenX fan and an 80mm Nexus fan, and their both pretty much silent, but the Nexus fan creates a lot more airflow.

And you're worried about 40C? That's well below all limits for temperature. I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.

Same here. Anything below 60° is fine.
