3aces Posted July 13, 2006 Author Posted July 13, 2006 well the file size is now...4.2gb{afe1f18d-127d-11db-9a9c-9bd88b0cd04b}{3808876b-c176-4e48-b7ae-04046e6cc752}thats the file name
Aegis Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 I suspect that's the search index file, otherwise I can't think of what else would grow in size and reside in the System Volume Information folder.

lasswellt Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 why would you try to delete this file? obviously it's a vital system file or it'd let you delete it. I'd leave it be, and stop trying to defrag and using this as a full time operating system till it's fully released...
3aces Posted July 17, 2006 Author Posted July 17, 2006 WOOOOOOOOFile removed....because a certain amount of files require the actual administrator to be logged on...its difficult to change permissions other wiseso i have a copy of Windows PE...i just booted it and right click>>delete....POOFfile gone Cheers Gunsmokingman....for your help especially
