Aegis Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 AMD has Launched its new Processor ,Its is very good for gamingRead more : hereFrom the benchies I've seen, this processor is amazingly fast ! Can't wait until it's released .
-I- Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 @Aegis. - it already is for both the Socket 940 and the AM2 board... but my choice either a conroe - or an opteron ("opteron isn't a desktop/game chip" yes i know, but opterons have way good results with OC'ing)...
Aegis Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) Lol yeah I was only joking . I have an Opteron 165, not that good of an overclocker. Only went from 1.8GHz to 2.4GHz. Conroe's a much better overclocker. Heard that the lowest-rated model went from 1.6ish (I can't remember) to 3.7ishGHz using a high-end air cooler (that one with the fan in between the heatsink). It can get more megahurtz than any Opty I know of and it has more IPC (instructions per clock), so you should go the Conroe route any day. Edited July 4, 2006 by Aegis
