Hi there peeps,

Does anyone else use winzip???? i cant believe no-one else has requested info on it, i cant seem to silently install winzip at all, i have tried all the switches and none seem to work, i have extracted the setup, and used a simple cmd script to try and install it but it still wont do it, so if anyone else has any info on it then please let me know.

Yea, most of use use either WinACE or WinRAR because the compression is better! You can get a trial of WinRAR from http://www.rarlabs.com!

Late to the show as always....

Here's how I install winzip.

copy the contents of a working install and put them in a folder:

$OEM$\$1\Program Files\WinZip

This gets copied over with the other folders\files in $OEM$

Then I run this from apps.cmd

start /wait %systemdrive%\Progra~1\winzip\winzip32.exe /noqp /autoinstall
DEL "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Desktop\WinZip.lnk""

Works for me

How about Silent Install Winzip 8.1? I tried the switches /noqp /autoinstall wit 8.1 and it's not working.

Edited...Nevermind. I installed Winzip 8.1 on my system followed IT_Ranger instructions and it's working. Thanks
