  1. Sorted the problem guys! Thanks for your help! I copied a new CD to use and used my normal DVD-ROM drive instead of the DVD-RW. Worked Fine! Cheers, Sunny
  2. thanks for the response guys... i will reburn the cd and try again... the XP CD that i made has slipstreamed via raid drivers that i have added. I am using an image of WIN XP that is on another computer, is it possible to check the validity of the XP image file to elimate me burning a corrputed image. Many thanks, Sunny
  3. Hi Guys, I finally managed to sort out my RAID situation when installing my via drivers for XP setup. Now I got another problem! After the drive is fully formated and files are copied, the computer restarts and the installation is shown. However, after a few seconds I get a message similar to below saying: Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check) SXS.DLL syntax error in manifest of policy. File d:\i386\asms\msft windows\gdiplus.gdiplus.man error: d:\i386\asms What is wrong? PLEASE HELP!! THANKS, Sunny
  4. Hi All, I need some desperate help! I am currently trying to install windows xp pro sp2 corporate on my seagate barracuda 200GB sata hard disk. I am using a msi 6741 motherboard (which has a via 8237 controller built in). When i switch on my computer, i notice that the bios detects the hard disk which is ok. I go on to install and press f6 to load the drivers. This works, i manage to select the right driver and format my partition. After this, a message appears saying that it cannot copy file viamraid.sys. I have options to retry (which i have done several times), abort or skip. I tried skiping and it let me copy my windows install files but after boot an BSOD appeared, saying that my hard disk is incorrectly configured, check for viruses etc. What am i doing wrong? Please help! Cheers! Sunny P.S To elimate any other issues, I checked my memory using memcheck86 and everything was ok.
