WPI only for Software Distribition?

Featured Replies

hello,

i want to know.. is there a way to make a wpi based cd.. without windows xp.. since i have the windows cd.. i want to make a wpi only for Hotfixes, XP Updates and Software Collection in one DVD. Without the windows xp.

Please help me.. if there is a way to do this.

thanks

yep

just put the WPI folder on the root folder of the CD

and run the WPI.hta file to load it up

or make it autorun.inf file to load it up when you put the cd into the cd-rom drive

cool. thanks.. so i dont need to create a sif file.. am i right?

Right no sif file everything you need for a stand-alone WPI is in the WPI package. With the exception of an icon and a autorun.inf. (You dont really need those.)

Since the subject came up I added in an autorun.inf and a wpi.ico to the tools archive for easy use.
