May 30, 200620 yr If you don't feel like opening photoshop just to fix red-eyes,or optimize your picture so you can quickly send it to friends, (or just had enough from software's manuals)its free, no ads or stuff like that which can be annoying! very cute and simple, unusual effects, and the best, you can directly share photos on the web: google's Picasa* let us know your opinion after playing with it for a little while
May 30, 200620 yr yup picasa is pretty nice software. good for simple photo editing and managing collections.
June 1, 200620 yr @DL I havent used Picasa in a while, but I believe you can tell it to only monitor selected folders.
June 2, 200620 yr I switched my in-laws to Picasa2. They were using some crappy software that was included with their camera. I almost vomited on their case when I first saw its GUI.
June 2, 200620 yr @DL I havent used Picasa in a while, but I believe you can tell it to only monitor selected folders.Yeah, I haven't used it in a while either. I found their 'folder management' to be a little cumbersome. I should give it another shot and see how it goes.Having handle only some of the files on your computer can be a good thing also because it you have a lot of graphics, it can take a while on it's first install to crawl through everything.DL
June 3, 200620 yr picasa is v good, but its crap at resizing large images, when shrinking,my 5.1 pics to around 320x240 i was getting pixelated effects, so i use Photoshop CS2's Image Processor for resizing whole folders now
