i want to know. right now i can gestimate that my installtion is about 3 weeks old. im going by the date on a few of my windows directory sub folders. the date on many of them is 04/25/2006. any ideas?

look for setupact.txt (or it could be setupact.log i dont remember), which is created during windows installation.

%windir%\setuplog.txt

Open up a command prompt and type the following, then hit enter.

systeminfo

After a few seconds of processing you'll get a long list of system info. Look for "Original Install Date" it's the 10th item down.
