-I-
probably a real bit late but, (pagefiles should be on your system partion??) NOT they shouldn't even be on your primairy harddrive for the exact reason you stated in your post... Even in multi-partition setups, Windows ALWAYS puts the pagefile on the system partition. If it was better to put it somewhere else - why wouldn't the guys in Redmond have implemented it? It's not that hard - choose partition E: instead of C: if it exists and is a disk drive. E: should be your seccond harddrive. any normal computer these days has but ata and S-ata conections, (from Athlon xp and P4 and up)whats so hard about putting your files on a seperate disk.. al systems i build at least are equiped with a small (20 ~ 40gb ata harddisk with windows installed on first partition and a backup (ghostfile) on the seccond. (sutch a disk cost about 30euro, - all files and userprofiles and (pagefiles) are stored on a mutch faster S-ATA disk that is also larger.
trodas
albator - if you use the nlite tweak with view to details, no thumbnail will show up. I know I use it.Even when you save image from IE to the My Pictures folder? Then show me the tweak, I would love to use it, please! And no, I'm not going to reinstall win just for one promised tweak, it has and it can be made now, I'm sure.Show the solution, please! You dont stop complaining, but you refuse solution people bring to you. What solutions are to the Thumbnails problem are mentioned there? I know only one that works. Win2k...Why dont you use firefox ? The vast majority of advanced user use firefox (or opera). And dont come with that compatibility s***. Just give me a url that dont work with firefox.Because of this:And there IS compatibility problems. First there is a page you can't open (your are not part of my ISP, I'm affraid) there: http://support.medialine.cz/svg2But I can sum it for ya. This page use Adobe SVG plugin to draw graphs of your/others/main nework load. You can choose start/end dates and resolutions. Even I somewhat manage the FF accept the SVG plugin ( http://sdx.archivesdefrance.culture.gouv.f.../svgViewer.html - it says that is need the "NPSVG6.dll" and "NPSVG6.zip", but in reality these files for latest 3.03 version of Adobe SVG are named NPSVG3.dll and NPSVG3.zip) and it does draw the default settings well, as soon as I choose other time/date/resolution the FF immediatelly crash...Later I remember that this shop music preview was not working:http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProduct...&sku=512592...but looks like this get fixed too, after about a year or so, when FF users are just out of luck, so there IS compatibility problem(s) and even the lame M$ has to be blamed for, there is nothing you can do about it. Some stuff is IE only. Oh, good example, my stepbro little project (online chat) QuickChat did not work either in FF: http://ax2.old-cans.com/quickchat
pppx00
If you hate some much WinXP, why you don't go back to Win2k instead of putting away all possibles solutions that many users already tell you?.I mean seriously, no offense.

xper
OK. Thats enough. You don't like Windows (XP)? Use another OS. Simple as that.I'm closing this thread because it's getting out of control, not because of your opinion.Closed
